Our journey began in 1992, when Mark Omidi, a true caviar connoisseur, laid the groundwork for what would become Caviar Centre. Growing up in Langarud, a city nestled on the south coast of the Caspian Sea – the historical heartland of Iran's fisheries and legendary caviar production – Mark's fascination with this exquisite delicacy was ignited from childhood. This early immersion cultivated an intrinsic understanding and profound respect for caviar that few others possess.
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leadership
After an initial venture in 1992, Mark's unwavering belief in the Canadian market's potential for premium caviar led him to found Caviar Centre in 1994. Despite economic challenges and the personal journey of establishing a new life in Canada with a young family, Mark's determination fueled the company's growth.
